Phil Laskey

  1. I was going through old photos of anime Garage kits when I found a folder labeled Phil Laskey. I think Phil and I exchanged some correspondence through actual letters sent through the post. Phil was an amateur comic artist and I was wondering what became of him as his footprint on the internet seems to have gone cold………..

  2. I used to follow his work (was never able to track his self-published “Angels” but did acquire “The Night Of the Busted Nose”) and recall that he drifted away from his slice-of-life/screwball comedy work (it was halfway between Love & Rockets & Campbell’s Alec in tone) and started using anime-inspired style that often covered hentai-ish topics that was not anywhere as appealing as his earlier output. He still had some sort of online presence a few years back.
